------------------------------------------------------------- DIVISION ONE: Edinburgh Wolves v Norfolk And Chance, Saturday 4th April 2009, Kick off: 19:00 CET, at Edinburgh Olympic Stadium, Edinburgh. ------------------------------------------------------------- This week our focus turns to the relegation battle at the bottom of Division One as two sides fighting for survival meet at the Edinburgh Olympic Stadium. Edinburgh Wolves currently fill the last relegation place but they lie just a point behind tomorrows opponents Norfolk And Chance knowing that victory would leap frog them ahead of Armoth's men.
THIS SEASON------------------------------------------------ The Wolves spent big in pre-season, splashing out 22.2 million econs - 19 million of which were on 24 year-old defender Gordon Vallin, the idea being to create the strongest central defensive partnership the Norfolk league has ever seen. Results were slow to materialise though, losing their opening 4 league games and exiting the Trophy in the second round. Since then, back-to-back league wins against Highland Select and chertseychoppers coupled with progress in the league cup has re-installed some confidence in the side.
Armoth's Army have been more inconsistent. They have gained 7 points so far, but are yet to either win or lose back-to-back games in the league. They have certainly been entertaining though, having scored and conceded in every league match this season. Their highlights so far have been defeating Dutch Warriors in the league, and their midweek triumph over Hotshots in the league cup on penalties.

TEAM NEWS---------------------------------------------------- Wolves keeper Art Osborn has recovered from a knock picked up in midweek.
Armoth's Army have defensive problems. Their best defender Norm Liemer is suspended whilst the experienced Daniel Rooke is injured.
PREDICTION---------------------------------------------------- These two sides appear evenly matched in terms of their league position, their recent form and in their previous meetings. Ricky is yet to seal a win over Armoth, but with their defensive resources stretched to the limit, star keeper Ernst Scherz is going to be in top form, especially given the recent scoring consistency of Ned Broomes. The visitors best avenue maybe to focus their game plan on their speedy strikers
