------------------------------------------------------------- DIVISION THREE: Britannia City v Gohtza City. Saturday 14th March 2009, Kick off: 19:00 CET, at New Field Road, Stoke. ------------------------------------------------------------- Yes - we've really exceeded our budget this week as we've banned our reporter from an evening in watching Comic Relief and sent him up to New Field Road to bring you a double helping of the Big Game Preview!
For the first time ever, we turn our attention two Division Three where the two early leaders are set to fight it out for top spot.
Under the name of New Field Rangers, Britannia City have seen a gradual decline over the seasons taking them from Norfolk league winners to the depths of Division Three but under new manager Pdale292000 their fortunes appear to be changing. Two wins out of two in the league has been supported by a decent cup run seeing them eliminate former Trophy winners Rubber Dubbers and only fall to a 3-2 defeat to finalists Dros Delnoch.
Gohtza City are a side only formed in the summer as former manager Nicholas Millar made a return to the Norfolk League and he has wasted no time renewing his world famous rivalry's with Mark Howard and Andrew Saunders. On the pitch, despite a lot of changes in personnel, Gohtza have looked impressive so far, losing just 1 of their opening 6 games and that was a cup game to Division One side Dinot Riders. Victories over Fratton Fliers and Norfolk N Way have seen them climb top of the table.
