Millar to face Norfolk re-union
The draw for the 1st Round of the Norfolk Trophy was made this evening at the Norfolk Square Headquarters and amongst the pick of the draw sees Nicholas Millar play his first competitive match back in the Norfolk League against his old side Norfolk Enchants. Millar earned himself legendary status at Norfolk, leading them to a League Cup final and a 3rd place finish in the Norfolk League during his 6 seasons in charge and now is Gohtza City side will fancy their chances of causing an opening round upset.
There are two all Norfolk league ties, with Dros Delnoch facing Ash Samba Boyz and Ross County providing the opposition for previous winner Hotshots. The other headline tie sees last seasons runners-up Shawfield Reborn face a potential banana skin against Division One side Dinot Riders.
Current holders Dutch Warriors will renew acquaintances chertseychoppers, whom they faced in cup competitions in Seasons 7 & 8 whilst the other previous winners in action are Rubber Dubbers will be looking to avoid an upset against New Field Rangers.
There are also two real David v Goliath encounters with Division Three new boys Dazza Demons paired with HM Gunners, who finished 4th last season in the Norfolk League. Meanwhile MJH Stars will be hoping for a derby upset against toon rejects.
The draw also sees Hoole F.C. and league champions White Riot drawn to receive a bye through to Round 2.
