Division Three Season Preview

RIVALS RETURN
One of the biggest stories of the off season saw the return to the Norfolk League of two managers who created the biggest rivalry between them that this league has ever seen. Both Mark Howard and Nick Millar kept us entertained for days leading up to their big matches with entertaining press releases full of mind games trying to psych each other out and gain the mental advantage.

PROMOTION CHALLENGERS
With 6 of the 7 sides being new teams it is hard to judge who will be the contenders. The previous experience of Nick and Mark of the format of this league should see both their sides be very competitive. Norfolk N Way have a slight advantage over the other sides with manager Prallc having had slightly longer to prepare his side for their debut whilst both Britannia City (formally New Field Rangers) and Aldershot TOON have managers with plenty of experience of playing xpert 11. Both Fratton Fliers and Dazza Demons will have the unknown factor with both managers new to xpert 11.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Wilfred Kay, Midfielder, dazza demons:
The midfielder is the highest skilled player in Division Three - the demons will hope he can be the spearhead to a good season.

Roque Alckmin, Goalkeeper, Britannia City: Despite New Field Rangers' struggles over the past few seasons, the 22-year-old has progressed nicely and he will be hoping the sides new manager will tighten the defence so his performances can flourish.

Stan Page, Striker, Fratton Fliers: The free-kick specialist is the best striker in the division. Can his team mates create the chances for him to show his quality?

Willie Haworth, Midfielder, Gohtza City: With Gohtza looking to youth, a lot will be expected of the captain, partly because of his quality and partly because of his leadership.

Eric Damon, Defender, Norfolk N Way: The versatile defender will be the base of Norfolk N Way's defence with many around him looking towards him for leadership.

STARS OF THE FUTURE:
Mark McConnell, Midfielder, Britannia City:
The 21-year-old has a great eye for goal and has already played over 50 games for Britannia.

Davy Bruce, Striker, Britannia City: The striker has already scored 16 times for Britannia and has an excellent long range shot.

Glen Hodgeson, Midfielder, Fratton Fliers: The 21-year-old has good potential and will be the creativity force for Fratton.

Ross Benjamin, Midfielder, Gohtza City: The 20-year-old is currently the most developed of Gohtza's under 21 players and has a great chance of being a regular in their side.

Ronnie Jensen, Defender, MJH Stars: The 18-year-old has potential to be a true legend in the Norfolk League. He already has tremendous ability and also has good long range shooting.
