------------------------------------------------------------- NORFOLK
LEAGUE: White Riot v Hotshots, Saturday 22nd November
2008. ------------------------------------------------------------- This
week we turn to the Norfolk league for our Big Game Preview with a mouth
watering clash between the top 2. Hotshots have never won a league title,
but have made a great start. White Riot have won three in a row but
Hotshots manager Jakestar is one of only 2 managers who can boast to have
had the better head-to-head record against his opposite number. Can
Hotshots prove they are capable of de-throwning the defending
champions?
THIS
SEASON--------------------------------------------------- White
Riot have built on a good end to last season that gained them their 3rd
consecutive title. Wins over HM Gunners and Smallville sandwiched a 2-2
draw with Dros Delnoch. Their defence of the Trophy was short lived but
manager Andrew Saunders is treating that as a positive. In the league they
have been hard to breach too with only Dros Delnoch scoring more than 1
goal against them in the league since late August.
Hotshots won 5
of their last 7 league games last season and they've built on that record
with strong wins over Dutch Warriors, toon rejects and Ash Samba Boyz.
Their Trophy campaign also ended early with a 90th minute own goal sending
AFC Trotters through at their expense. With their next 6 league matches
after this being against 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the league, they know
a win on Saturday would make a title challenge a strong
possibility.

TEAM
NEWS----------------------------------------------------- White
Riot are expected to be at full strength for this game.
For
Hotshots, both Mitch Ellis and Martyn Lines appear to have recovered from
knocks picked up in last weekends win over Dutch
Warriors.
PREDICTION---------------------------------------------------- This
should be an interesting indication of Hotshots title credentials. Defeat
would certainly be no disgrace - few teams get much short change at White
Riot but a positive result would certainly put themselves in a good
position. Their head-to-head record against the Riot suggests they have a
chance, but never underestimate Andrew Saunder's men. Their trophy cabinet
demonstrates that.
PREDICTION: 1-0 White Riot
win.
