DIVISION THREE SEASON PREVIEW

Division Three possess a fresh looking line-up for season 13 with 4 new sides and 7 managers who have joined since the start of the last campaign. The result hopefully will be one of the most open, competitive seasons the division has seen so far - Will it deliver? only time will tell. Here are all the facts and figures in our Division Three preview....

THE CHANGES

There are plenty of them this season as mentioned above. Athletico Redhill were promoted whilst the other two members of last seasons top 3, Noroflknutters and Pegasus, have both been disbanded. In their place come new sides Mickey United, Paxton Town, English Egyptians and Seattle Sounders FC - all managed by new clubs. Meanwhile, Aldershot Enchants have changed their name to Aldershot 1992 under the guidance of FRoST-32 who was appointed towards the end of last season. As was Stodab who is the relatively new manager of Jurrasic Five. Man Spuds boss Scottyspud1 is also yet to complete a full season in charge leaving The Barbican, who have had a quite few months compared with their 7 opponents.

Aldershot 19925-1After an encouraging end of season under the new guidance of FRoST-32, things appear to finally be on the up for Aldershot. Last season's weakness was scoring goals and they will hope the recent arrival of Laban Wallberg will correct that. They have plenty of experience with an average squad age of 32. Recorded a victory over Mickey United in pre-season.
English Egyptians9-2The new boys have been given a fairly balanced squad although they appear to miss a star player in the midfield. They did warm up for their debut with an impressive 4-0 win over fellow newcommers Micky United. They will be hoping that bodes well for the new season.
Jurrasic Five4-1Finished last season well under their new manager. They have only lost 1 of their last 10 league games but too many draws turned out to be their achillies heal last season. Young defender Ronnie Jensen continues to be the star with his valuation rising rapidly by the game.
Man Spuds8-1After long periods without a manager, Man Spuds now appear settled since the arrival of Scottyspud1. Last season proved a strugle with many players having missed out on form training for long periods during the previous regime. They contain a very strong strike force but have experienced a difficult pre-season results wise.
Mickey United9-2Mickey United are making their debut this season. The distribution of their squad in terms of quality appears to be more varied compared with the Egyptians but Julian Buchanan and young Noah Atkins could turn out to be star players this season.  They have played a number of pre-season games and will be raring to go come kick off on Saturday.
Paxton Town9-2Another of the newcommers, Paxton Town have opened their friendly account with an impressive 3-0 win over Man Spuds. They look to have a strong core to their side and striker Alexander McCab looks like a good man to lead the line upfront. The squad doesn't appear to have many weaknessess.
Seattle Sounders FC5-1Seattle are the 3rd American Based team to be launced in the Norfolk League (Man Spuds were originally set up as American). Their stength may well lie with set pieces with 3 excellent dead ball specialists. The first XI looks strong. They have already pitted themselves against the Samba Boyz and put up a decent showing.
The Barbican3-1 FavThey are the most established and experienced side in the division so should go well. They also have one of the strongest squads and have a good balance of quick players and good headers. They finished on a good run at the end of last season and will be hoping that momentum continues. A good pre-season draw with Amazingstoke will have given them confidence.
