PREVIEWS

DIVISION TWO: Blackhawk Rangers v Stans Rangers
Saturday 27th March 2010, Kick off: 19:00 CET,
at Anfield Road, Stockport.

In a special double preview this weekend, our team have travelled up to Stockport where an important game in the Division Two promotion race takes place this weekend. Blackhawk Rangers host the game and they currently lead the division by two points from chertseychoppers in 2nd. Fourth placed Stans Rangers lie 3 points behind the choppers and would move to within 2 points of the Blackhawks with a victory.

THE SEASON SO FAR

Having agonisingly missed out on promotion in the last 2 seasons, Blackhawk Rangers started this campagin slowly with back to back defeats. However, they transformed their season with 6 consecutive victories to move from the bottom to the top of the table. Their winning run was ended last week when Bangor Bucks earned a suprise 1-0 win at Anfield Road. In the Trophy they reached the 2nd round, whilst in the League Cup they put out Hotshots in Round 2 and currently lie 1-0 in their quarter final against Spatula United.

Consistancy has been the problem for Stans Rangers so far this season. They have been unable to record consecutive wins in the league yet but a good end of season run could see them move into the promotion zone. Manager Stanway1982 left at the end of February and his replacement rps78 earned his first win last weekend with a 5-1 thumping of Norfolk And Chance. They reached Round 2 in the Trophy but Ross County eliminated them in the first round of the league cup

PREDICTION

Blackhawk Rangers will start as favourites with home advantage and their recent winning run. Stans Rangers do have one of the strongest sides in the division though and with their manager being new to the job, so their tactics may be difficult for their opponents to predict.

PREDICTION: 2-1 Blackhawk Rangers
