Norfolk League Cup Semi Final Preview
The Norfolk League Cup has now reached the Semi-Final stage and we now know that the competition will be won this season by a manager lifting his first major trophy.
AMAZINGSTOKE GOONERS v CITY OF UHRA
City of Uhra are the only previous winners of a cup left in this seasons competition - their triumph came in season 9 under the influence of Andrew Saunders. Uhra's new manager Nicholas Millar has reached the final of this competition. Back in season 2, his Norfolk Enchants side (now known as Aldershot Enchants) were defeated over two legs by Dutch Warriors. Uhra currently lie on the fringes of the title race.
Their oppoents, Amazingstoke Gooners, reached the semi-finals of this competition for the first ever time following their impressive victory over last seasons winners Ash Samba Boyz in the Quarter Finals. They also made the semi-finals in the Norfolk Trophy earlier this season. Manager Prallc also faced City of Uhra in last seasons competition but his Colmans side were comfortably beaten 8-0 on aggregate in the Quarter Finals. His side are rated as the strongest left in the compeition though and he will be after revenge.
SMALLVILLE FC v TOON REJECTS
A local derby. After just 1 semi final appearance in their first 9 seasons this is now Smallville's third out of the last four competitions. Their only semi-final success though came in the Trophy last season. Smallville currently lie 6 in the Norfolk League and have won 4 of their 7 previous meetings with the rejects.
Toon Rejects are one of the form sides around at the moment. The Division One side are unbeaten in 12 matches have kept 7 clean sheets in a row. They have been to the final of this competition twice previously, losing to City of Uhra in season 9 and Ash Samba Boyz in season 6.
Good luck to all teams involved. The first leg takes place 16th December and 2nd leg on 23rd December.
