------------------------------------------------------------- DIVISION TWO: Blackhawk Rangers v Fulham FC, Saturday 24th October 2009, Kick off: 19:00 CET, at Anfield Road, Stockport. ------------------------------------------------------------- This weekend the BGP team take their first ever trip down to Anfield Road as we preview the Division Two clash between league leaders Blackhawk Rangers and second placed Fulham FC.
THE SEASON SO FAR-------------------------------------------- Blackhawk Rangers narrowly missed out on promotion last season but a last day defeat at Drakies Dazzerlers coupled with AFC Trotters win ment Martynkuz's side had to settle for 3rd. This seaon the Hawks have made a great start with 3 consecutive wins in the league as they look for their first ever promotion. The were knocked out of the Trophy at the first hurdle at the hands of Toft Monks Athletic.
Last season started desasterously for Fulham FC (formally Gohtza City) losing their opening 7 games in all competetions and losing manager Nicholas Millar to City of Uhra only a couple of games into the campaign. After a period of transition, new manager Mike Munns led them to 10 points from their final 5 games as they finished 7th. They were given a reprieve from relegation and haven't looked back. Seven points from their opening 3 games has seen them go 2nd, and they gave Smallville a tough game in the Norfolk Trophy.
