With just 2 games to go, the outcome of the promotion race in Division One may well hinge on this weekends results. Smallville FC secured their spot in the top flight for next season last weekend, and 3 other sides are looking to secure the one remaining spot to join them.
Highland Select currently hold the advantage, 2 ponts clear of toon rejects whilst Hotahots are outsiders, 2 further points adrift. It is Highland who we focus on though, as they face a tricky trip to Dinot Riders knowing that if they win and toon rejects don't, Zico's side will clinch 2nd spot.

Dinot Riders have consistently held a mid table position all season. It is a story of what could have been for Dinot's men.
They have suffered 6 defeats this season, and 5 of them have been by a single goal. With a bit more luck they may have found themselves right in contention for a top 2 spot. Attacking has again been their strength and they are currently the 5th highest scorers across all divisions this season.
Norfolkbet only rated Highland as joint 6th favourites for promotion this season but Zico's men have done a terrific job. After a solid start, a recent run of 6 wins from 7 games saw them hold 2nd spot for most of the second half the season. Last weekends defeat to Hotshots has opened the door for toon rejects though and Highland have a difficult last 2 fixtures.

Dinot Riders are without important defender Larry McEnroe who was injuted in last weekends defeat to Smallville. In form striker Jens-Bo Sodemann does return from injury though.
Highland Select are at full strength after Timothy Sykes recovered from a knock.
PREDICTION----------------------------------------------------
This could be an entertaining game. Highland need the points but the Riders may be just as dangerous as ever now the pressure is off. You know when Dinot's men play you are likely to see plenty of goals and one side emerge victorious but who will it be? Highland secured a comfortable win in the reverse fixture in week 2 and are the in-form side but the Riders have a fairly good home record.
