LEAGUE: Hotshots v White Riot, Saturday 6th September

week we preview a clash of two of the Norfolk Leagues heavyweights.
Hotshots have finished in the top 3 for the last 3 seasons running but to
maintain that record they will need to continue their strong record
against White Riot who themselves are in a strong position to claim their
3rd successive league title.
THIS
SEASON-------------------------------------------------------After
a promising start with early wins over Hoole and the Samba Boyz, Hotshots
have faded and appear to be going through a bit of a transitional phase
with their youngsters starting starting to push on and become regular
first teamers. A run of 3 consecutive defeats was ended with a victory
over Toon Rejects last week. They also suffered early exits in both cup
competitions.
For the majority of the season White Riot have been
in red hot form again. They retained the Norfolk Trophy with a thrashing
of rivals Dutch Warriors in the final. They lie well placed in the league
with some convincing wins under their belt. Only an unfortunate opening
day defeat to Shawfield and a 5-0 mauling at Dutch Warriors have been
blips on their
radar.

have major injury problems up front. Star player Martyn Lines is
definitely out whilst Dominic Oddish is unlikely to feature
either.
White Riot's 30-year-old midfielder Abel Sejer is suspended
for picking up too many yellow cards whilst Mickey Caldwell is a major
injury
doubt.
PREDICTION-------------------------------------------------------On
paper White Riot should win this comfortably. They are in much better form
and their injury problems aren't as bad. Hotshots are hard to beat at home
though and still have a strong side. They are also one of the few teams to
have a good head-to-head record against Andrew Saudners' men. However, I
think White Riot will prove slightly too strong on the
day.
PREDICTION: 1-0 White
