Season***********************
Again the structure of the
league remained the same, but this time all 3 leagues had 8 sides. The
Norfolk Trophy was re-introduced and was used as the season opener. In
came Wislon F.C, Athletico Redhill and FC Rodriguez. Truro FC were taken
under new management and rebranded Combine Harvester, whilst Tottenham
went out of business.
----------------------Norfolk
league--------------------------
With a couple of weeks left
in the season the Norfolk league became split into 2. A 2 horse title race
between newly promoted White Riot and defending champs Dutch Warriors.
White Riot virtually clinched the title with a 3-0 win over the Warriors
at home in the penultimate game. At the bottom, the remaining 6 teams
thought out a dogged battle to survive. Rubber Dubbers were cast adrift
early on, Hotshots and HM Gunners managed to pull clear with a couple of
games to go and the Samba Boyz's 3-1 home win over MJH Athletic in the
penaultimate game saw them safe. That left bitter rivals Norfolk Enchants
and MJH battling it out to avoid the drop on the final day. Norfolk began
the day with a 2 point advantage but a 4-0 defeat to the Samba Boyz
coupled with a 4-0 win for MJH over Rubber Dubbers condemed Norfolk to
relegation
----------------------Division
One--------------------------
This league was also divided
into two. 5 teams competed for promotion throughout the season, but it was
an amazing run of 10 straight wins at the end of the season from Dinot
Riders that saw them claim the title on the final day - they had been
struggling against relegation after 4 games! Blut Royale sealed
back-to-back promotions with them holding off strong challenges from Dros
Delnoch, Smallville and Shawfield Park Rangers. At the bottom, Mighty
Ducks manger disappeared half way through the season leaving them to be on
the end of continuous beatings. Emu Warriors and New Field Rangers were
left to fight out the final survival place, and New Field Rangers clinched
it on goal difference, but in truth both sides looked out of their
depth.
----------------------Division
Two--------------------------
Newcomer's Wislon F.C took the
league by storm, beginning with a formidable unbeaten run of 16 games in
all competitions. They coasted to the title, followed by Toon Rejects who
held off stiff competition from Athletico Redhill and a re-juvinated Car
Fax Utd side. FC Rodriguez failed to pick up a single victory despite
having an active manager through
out.

Trophy--------------------------
Hotshots clinched their first
ever trophy with a 2-1 win over White Riot in the final. The Norfol league
side required penalties to see of New Field Rangers and Norfolk Enchants.
They also beat Shawfield on their way to the final. The game of the
tournament was probably Norfolk Enchants' 3-2 win over Dinot Riders, the
Division 1 side coming from 2 goals down only to conceede a 90th minute
winner from McMuffin

Cup----------------------
Car Fax amazed the football world by
completing a fairy tale campaign with victory over the Ash Samba Boyz in
the final. The Division 2 side who had ended a run of 8 months without a
win in all competitions not long before the season began, turned the form
book on its head be defeating league champions White Riot, last seasons
champions and twice league cup winners Dutch Warriors, and top flight side
Norfolk Enchants. They also defeated Smallville FC in the first round.
They also achieved a unique record by loosing a game in every round except
the final on their way to victory!
Game of the tournament was probably
Car Fax's 3-2 defeat in the 2nd leg of the quater final to Dutch Warriors.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Car Fax managed to survive the onslaught
from the Warriors to clinch their semi-final place
