HALL OF FAME - HISTORY

SEASON 11

****************Eleventh Season*********************
Season 11 saw the emergence of a few potential challenges to the newly found dominance of the Ash Samba Boyz. Dddrifter was replaced at N.Y.Muggers by Colmans F.C. boss Prallc who changed the team name to Amazingstoke Gooners. The earthshattering story was the near 100 million econs that the club then spent on transfers - a spending spree never before seen in this league.
Hotshots were back in the top flight and they too troubled the league champions.

On the changes front, Fulham manager Rodney11 quit after just 2 games and he was replaced by the returning Gixerboy with the team name changing to Hammersmith City. Hoole F.C. were taken over by ArnieD and renamed Boca Seniors. ArnieD's former club Tartan Army and Colmans both disapearred along with Aldershot TOON after their boss Sean-NUFC moved to replaced Waylander at Toon Army (formally known as Dros Delnoch). Two new sides joined in the shape of Ridgeland Fire and The Barbican whilst Norfolk Enchants changed their name to Aldershot Enchants. Also changing names were Wilson F.C. to Pegasus following the departure of manager Daniel Horn and Edinburgh Wolves who are now known as Bangor Bucks following Carlos Tomlinson's take over of the club from Ricky.

Hotshots gave the Ash Samba Boyz a real fright on day one, leading 3-0 at Collins Park before the league champions came back to win 4-3. Jakestars men were still in contention for the title though until defeats in their final two games ended their challenge and gave the Samba Boyz a third straight title by 9 points.

At the bottom, a mixture of injuries and bad luck saw Shawfield cut adrift after the mid way point, leaving Ross County, Dutch Warriors and Smallville fighting to avoid joining them. On the final day, Smallville had to win but were soundly beaten by Shawfield condeming them to an instant return to Division One.

----------------------Division One--------------------------
The two pre-season favourites Amazingstoke Gooners and Dinot Riders made the early running. Both sides stuttered during the second half of the season though and Highland Select (who had just 8 points at the half way stage) surged into 2nd place, overtaking the Riders with 2 games left.

The relegation battle emerged into a 4 way fight for survival. Drakies Dazzerlers pulled away with 2 games to go, leaving Norfolk And Chance, AFC Trotters and Toon Army. On the final game, Toon Army and AFC Trotters drew 2-2, a result that saved the Trotters after Norfolk And Chance lost.

----------------------Division Two--------------------------
Blackhawk Rangers set the early pace in Division Two, earning 23 points from their opening 9 games. Fulham FC kept in touch with the leaders though and when the Hawks stumbled they took full advantage to claim the title. Dangler Dans were 9 points behind the Blackhawks with 4 games to go but a stunning late run saw them defeat Rangers 4-0 on the final game of the season to steal 2nd place.

Pegasus lost their manager at the halfway point and were cut adrift early finishing with just 5 points. The battle to avoid the final relegation spot went down to the final day, with Spatula United trailing Bangor Bucks and chertseychoppers (who were both playing each other) by 2 points. The Spats won, as did chertsey leaving Bangor Bucks conemed to Division Three despite a strong late season revival under new manager Carlos Tomlinson.

----------------------Division Three------------------------
From week 2, Toft Monks Athletic opened an early lead and they were never overtaken, coasting to the Division Three title. Boca Seniors secured the second promotion spot with a game to spare afther defeating closest rivals The Barbican.

----------------------Norfolk League Cup-------------------
Big spending Amazingstoke Gooners stole the headlines in the League Cup by winning their first major trophy. They defeated Smallville 3-0 in the final. They also managed to defeat the two previous winners in the form of City of Uhra and Ash Samba Boyz along the way.

Amongst the headline games, Boca Seniors won an entertaing tie with Blackhawk Rangers on away goals after a 5-5 agregate scoreline. The Seniors also pulled off arguably the biggest shock, winning 3-1 at last seasons finalists Hotshots in Round 1 to progress.

----------------------Norfolk Trophy--------------------------
Hotshots claimed their second Trophy title after an astonishing 6-1 thrashing of holders Ash Samba Boyz in the final.

Amongst the highlights of the competiton, Hotshots drew 4-4 with Drakies Dazzerlers in the Quarter Finals whilst Toft Monks Athletic smashed 7 past Blackhawk Rangers in the first round.
