HALL OF FAME - HISTORY

SEASON 1

The Norfolk League was origionally founded by William Young in September 2006. Their were 12 founder members, all local British friends of mine from the Hampshire/Surrey area. The league members decided that the competition should begin with 2 divisions, playing league matches once a week on a Saturday at 19:00 CET, with a 2-legged cup competition (Norfolk League Cup) played on Wednesday evenings at the same time.

****************First Season********************

All 12 teams were randomly assigned a division by the system, with the Norfolk League starting with 2 leagues of 6 teams. The season was dominated by two managers: Daniel Horn (New Field Rangers) and Mark Howard (MJH Athltic).

New Field Rangers dominated the Norfolk League for much of the season before edging out Ash Samba Boyz by a solitary point to take the first ever Norfolk League title.
Whilst at the bottom, Car Fax Avenue nearly pulled off the great escape only to loose their league status to Emu Warriors in a final-match showdown. Tottenham Hotspurs were also relegated having come last.

----------------------Division One----------------------------

MJH Athletic were always in control in Division 1, claiming the title comfortably with 24 points from their 10 matches. The final promotion spot was fought between two of the Millar brothers, with Alastair (Shawfield) triumphing after Nick's Norfolk Enchants were held to a 3-3 draw against MJH on the final day.

---------------------Norfolk League Cup---------------------

The 2 league champions also clashed in the first Ever Norfolk League cup final - New Field Rangers trimphing 3-2 on aggregate, to complete the league and cup double. Emu Warriors and Norfolk Enchants were the beaten Semi-Finalists
