Blackhawk winner 9 goal thriller!

BLACKHAWK RANGERS 6-3 NO SURRENDER GERS

Many games between two sides with nothing to play for pass by without incindent with both sets of players already thinking about their summer holidays on a sandy beach somewhere in the Mediterranean. Not this game though, as these two sides managed to produce a 9 goal thriller at Anfield Road.

Both sides had already secured mid-table survival and as a result both sides went for this game with the hope of ending the season on a high. An amazing total of 26 chances were produced - surely a Norfolk League record, and the second half saw an incredible 8 goals!

The drama started in the 17th minute, Kevin McPhee heading the Gers in front from an excellent cross from Craig Moir. The lead was maintained until 2 minutes after half time when Chet Wilson levelled for Rangers. Within a minute Thierry Henry headed Blackhawk infront, only for Archibald McKay to make it 2-2 within a minute. Just 3 minutes later Bram Lindenbergh put the Gers back in front before Henry struck again on the hour to level again at 3-3.

Thats how things stayed until 11 minutes from time when Blackhawk finally ended the resistance of the visitors, striking 3 times to seal an impressive victory. First Henry completed his hat-trick from a corner, before Yuju Mukojima made it 5. Leo Messi put the icing on the cake in the last minute after a free kick from Wilson.
