Samba Boyz consider move to Bolivia

Reports from the Norfolk Gazette suggest the Ash Samba Boyz are considering relocating their club from South East England to La Paz in Bolivia in a radical attempt to improve their title aspirations.

The Bolivian capital is situated 3,600 meters (11,811 feet) above sea level, and has traditionally given the Bolivian national team a strong advantage in home matches over their opponents who simply aren't used to the high altitude.

Before this season, the Samba Boyz struggled badly at home, winning just 5 league home games from the 14 they played between July 2008 and January 2009 whist their away form has remained very good compared with the other sides in the Norfolk League.

Club coach Roberto Carlos was spotted in the stands at the Estadio Hernando Siles on Wednesday night watching the Bolivia humiliate Argentina 6-1 in their latest world cup qualify and rumors suggest talks with Club Bolivar have already taken place about a potential ground share.

The news is likely to be very unpopular with Samba Boyz supporters. The Supporters club chairman suggesting many supporters may defect to local rivals Smallville FC and called an offer of free oxygen masks for all seasons ticket holders "insulting"
