Benny Coffey
will be remembered as a great free-kick taker. Only N.Y.Muggers' Dorian
McBrain has had a better strike rate for a midfielder. Coffey's 17 goals
in his first two seasons helped the Gunners to consecutive promotions, and
although the goals started to dry up, Coffey was still an important
component in the Gunners consolidating their place in the top flight
during seasons 5 & 6. At the point in which he left the Dynamite
Canyon, he remained the clubs all time leading
goalscorer.
